Re-Inventing the Past: Re-inventing notation.

I realised I was missing one characteristic to this project: Re-invention.

I decided that I would put my musical knowledge to the test by re-inventing (creating) music in the style of each genre, but also relating to the building each musical piece would correlate to.

I decided that I would like to do something new and odd with the way I represent the musical pieces that I write… by re-inventing musical notation.

To do this I looked at artists who have already created pieces linking to music. These artists being John Cage, Rainer Wehinger and Wassily Kandinsky.
